The Virtual School for Children in Care in Cambridgeshire is seeking to appoint a person to support access to and inclusion within education for this cohort; this includes children and young people with SEND and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Minors. Specifically the role includes supporting children and young people who may have just come into care or following changes of placement. You will be required to liaise with schools, carers and other professionals both within Cambridgeshire and in other local authorities and comply with statutory processes.

The successful candidate will be confident at communicating effectively, efficient, organised and able to work using their own initiative within a wider team. As corporate parents for Cambridgeshire Children in Care, the Local Authority have a responsibility to ensure that they receive the best possible education in a timely manner.

This post is based in Huntingdon although travel around the county will be expected.
