Children First Northamptonshire is on an energetic and exciting improvement journey with new management and innovative approaches; we can confirm that we will become a standalone Trust which will deliver services for two new unitary authorities across the county.
A new opportunity has arisen to support the Early Help Support Service to further develop the work on the Troubled Families Programme.

The post has been developed to support improvements to the income generating element of the Troubled Families Programme.

As a Troubled Families Research Officer you would contribute towards the Trouble Families function of the Early Help Support Service by collating evidence against the six headline markers of the Troubled Families Programme. The successful candidate would need the ability to present complex information to all levels within the organisation to support understanding of the Troubled Families Programme.

The cyclic nature of the claims programme highlights the emphasis for good organisation, time management and the ability to meet very stringent deadlines.

You will need:
• GCSE English and Maths grade C or above.
• Knowledge and understanding of data protection and information management regulations due to the post holder’s need to access sensitive information regarding families
• Experience of working within a team to provide Business Support
• Excellent numeracy and analytical skills and attention to detail
• Advanced IT skills e.g. Excel to support and develop work alongside excellent self organisation and coordination skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office Tools. Ability to use Excel functions including formulae and v-lookups to analyse information
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present information clearly
• Good telephone manner and influencing skills
• Ability to build good working relationships with people at a range of levels both internal and external to the organisation
