A rare opportunity to establish and manage one of the first teams delivering For Baby’s Sake, a new holistic, therapeutic programme supporting all family members where domestic abuse is impacting on their wellbeing, to overcome childhood developmental trauma and enable mothers and fathers to be the best parents they can be.

For Baby’s Sake was launched in April 2015 in Hertfordshire and in the three London boroughs of Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham. Through the creation of an innovative collaboration between Cambridgeshire County Council and the Stefanou Foundation, we are recruiting for a team based at Babbage House in Cambridge and covering the districts of Cambridge City, South and East Cambridgeshire.

For Baby’s Sake is an innovative programme created by the Stefanou Foundation in response to growing evidence of the life-long mental and physical health risks for babies born into families where there is domestic abuse. It is an intensive support programme lasting up to two and a half years for expectant parents where there is domestic abuse or violence in their relationship. Both mother and father join the programme during pregnancy and may be supported until their baby reaches the age of 2.

As Team Manager, you will need a strong track record in line management, including delivering restorative supervision to the team, as well as expertise in safeguarding children and adults and supporting infant mental health.

This position is full-time fixed until July 2023. Full details, including the job description/person specification and background briefing information can be found in the relevant attachments.

To apply online, please complete the shortened application form and upload a copy of your CV which must incorporate a supporting statement of no more than 2 sides of A4 (no smaller that 11pt font) of how you meet the person specification.

Please do not wait for the closing date to apply as applications will be viewed daily, and the advert will be closed once the position is filled.
