Permanent – Full Time

It is an exciting time to be working in local government in Northamptonshire with the journey towards the creation of two brand new unitary authorities in April 2021. The committed approach from the whole public sector to deliver the two unitaries will present significant opportunities for joining up and transforming service delivery to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents

We know that staff are key to our success, and we have a vacancy for a highly motivated, organised and creative individual to manage our Adult Safeguarding Team.

You will lead a dedicated team responsible for carrying out statutory safeguarding functions where people may be at risk of harm and who are in receipt of or eligible for adult social care interventions.

You will have a commitment to strengths based person-centred values, and be able to support and lead a team of qualified and unqualified workers to translate this into practice.

You will be responsible for the management and development of the teams, your role will include:

- Oversight of the day to day management of the work within the team
- Supervision and mentoring of staff within the team
- Monitoring the performance of the team to ensure the delivery of agreed outcomes
- Liaising with other services and/.or agencies as required to ensure good outcomes for individuals
- Networking and Working in partnership with key strategic leads across a range of agencies

You will hold a recognised social work qualification, and be qualified for a minimum of 2 years. You will also have some previous experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
