Targeted Support Practitioners (Children & Families)

Are you determined and passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children through early intervention and supporting their families to change? Do you have direct experience of working effectively with children and their families facing challenging situations to achieve positive outcomes?

The Children First Northamptonshire Targeted Support Service works with vulnerable children aged 0-19 to promote the wellbeing and resilience of their families and to support their care and nurture at home. The service aims to offer high quality and effective services to ensure that children and young people are safe, healthy, aspirational and achieving their full potential.

Do you have the skills and experience to improve life outcomes for the most vulnerable children and young people by enabling their families to successfully and sustainably look after them into adulthood? We are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated team players with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to join our North and West teams.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Targeted Support Service. We are committed to building a skilled, knowledgeable and flexible workforce promoting innovation and continuous improvement.

The post- holders will be required to coordinate a caseload and deliver high level complex intervention to children, young people and their families, as well as deliver parenting and other evidence-based programmes across the locality. Helping families make changes to their lives by being tenacious and challenging but supportive, is absolutely key.
