St Luke’s provides Short Breaks and Supported Living services for adults with a learning disability. Our aim is to support and empower service users to enhance their quality of life, maximise potential and to continue to develop and promote independence skills within their own homes, in the short break service and in the community.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and creative team players who are committed to providing high quality support. You will need to support people with personal care tasks and have a willingness and capacity to work with people who may challenge.

St Luke’s Respite can support up to 6 people, we have two 6-bedded Supported Living bungalows and are regulated by CQC.

Staff will have the benefits of regular supervision, annual appraisals and excellent training opportunities.

Hours are on a shift basis (7am – 3pm/3pm-10pm) shifts may at times be shorter for part time staff, shifts including weekends and Bank Holidays, and you will be expected to undertake sleeping-in shifts. Enhancements are currently paid for working unsocial hours.

No formal qualifications are essential, but there is a requirement to complete an induction which includes the new Care Certificate. A willingness to undertake a qualification in social care is also essential.
