The Street Works Team currently have 2 vacancies for Street Works Inspectors. The team oversees various forms of activities on the highway, including street works, road works, road closures, skips and scaffolding licences.

We are looking for inspectors to assist in the enforcement of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA), Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) and the Cambridgeshire Permit Scheme for Road Works and Street Works under Part 3 of TMA; to undertake inspections, monitoring and ensure compliance with the statutory requirements along with the Council’s policies and operational plans. The post holders will be required to maintain excellent working relationship with third parties engaged in the planning and execution of street works.

Working from various locations across Cambridgeshire, the roles would be ideal for enthusiastic individuals who are excellent communicators with a 'Can Do' attitude. Experience and NRSWA Accreditation is preferred although not essential as training will be provided. Candidates must have a full driving licence.
