Specialist Teacher - Full time. Salary will be £23729 - 39406 + SEN 1 or 2, dependent on qualifications

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Teacher who has the knowledge and ability to carry out a leading and coordinating role in relation to managing the cases of children with complex and challenging needs, who may present with challenging behaviours.

You will be a qualified teacher with experience of supporting children with SEND, and a range of complex needs. You will have a broad range of relevant experience and a strong CPD record. You will need to have extensive knowledge and experience of working with primary schools and children with complex and challenging additional needs, who may present with challenging behaviours. You will be able to work both independently and jointly with other professionals and have the confidence and knowledge to deliver training and advice to settings. The ability to work autonomously to prioritise work and meet deadlines is key.

You will be part of a team of experienced Specialist Teachers and Specialist Practitioners who work closely together and support each other to improve the outcomes for children, families and setting professionals. The team also promotes the development of close links with schools, families, partner teams and services, with other agencies and with the voluntary sector.

Duties included the management of a diverse and challenging caseload. You will manage and supervise the work of Specialist Practitioners who support such cases on a daily basis. You will also support primary school settings, including training, to ensure that children with complex and challenging needs, who may present with challenging behaviours, achieve their potential. Liaising with a wide range of professionals to ensure a joined up and inclusive approach is vital. You will also support settings to implement appropriate strategies which promote inclusion and improve children’s attendance, engagement, behaviour, emotional wellbeing and learning.

The role will require County-wide travel, with an administrative base in Ely or Wisbech
