Within this role you will undertake the full range of enforcement duties relating to environmental crime and City Council bye-laws, including littering, abandoned vehicle, fly-tipping, illegal punting and illegal camping. We’ll look to you to manage your own workload and maintain accurate records as you investigate complaints and provide advice and assistance to customers regarding their legal obligations and take enforcement action where appropriate.

Your wide-ranging experience of serving the public in an enforcement role will include issuing fixed penalty notices, gathering evidence, serving legal notices, preparing prosecution files and presenting cases in court. Familiar with a busy city environment and fully up to speed with relevant legislation, you’ll also be confident in providing cover for the Dog Warden Service where required.

There will be a requirement to work out of hours and weekends to cover events etc on a rota basis.
