Northamptonshire Adult Social Services is on an ambitious and exciting journey, and has recently undergone a major transformation programme. A key element of the vision for NASS is to provide the opportunity for the county’s adults to live well, age well, and stay well in a manner that helps people take charge of their lives, or be supported when they genuinely cannot help themselves.

We know that staff are key to our success, and we have a vacancy for a highly motivated, organised and creative individual to join our Adult Safeguarding Team.
You will be working as part of a dedicated team to carry out statutory safeguarding functions to people who may be at risk of harm who are in receipt of or eligible for adult social care interventions.

You will have a commitment to strengths based person-centred values, and be able to support others to translate this into practice.
In addition to supporting, influencing, and contributing to the overall management and development of the teams, your role will include:
- Day to day management, supervision and mentoring of staff within the team
- Monitoring the performance of the team to ensure the delivery of agreed outcomes
- Liaising with other services and/.or agencies as required

You will hold a recognised social work qualification, and be qualified for a minimum of 2 years. You will also ideally have some previous experience in a supervisory or mentoring capacity.

We are committed to the development of the Social Care workforce. You will benefit from the support of motivated and committed colleagues, receive regular professional supervision, and be able to benefit from excellent leadership training and career development opportunities.
