Within this important role you will provide a full range of Pinder services in relation to the health and wellbeing of grazing animals on common land and other public green spaces within Cambridge City boundaries, in accordance with adopted site management plans, grazing permissions and community needs, including recreation, conservation and events.

You will also operate the opening and closing of the Bishop’s Mill Sluice to control water levels on the River Cam and provide an out of hours call out service in response to health and safety and site security issues relating to public open spaces.

With experience of safe handling of cattle, including safe handling of distressed cattle, including stuck in water or waterlogged conditions, you will hold Cat B driving Licence and be experienced in trailer operation and tractor/ van driving including experience of completing daily/weekly checks.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to your work, have the ability to work with a wide range of staff and members of the public and be able to remain calm under pressure.
