Improving Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire County Council's contracts and spend management information is at the heart of this role, which is why we are looking for a highly organised, customer focused and forward thinking Contracts Senior Administrator who will work as part of our Procurement team.

If successful you will perform a number of administrative and support duties on our Contracts Register, which holds key contracts and spend data, with a view to making it as accurate and up to date as possible so that it provides useful information to anyone who accesses it.

To be successful in the role you'll need great customer service skills, a keen eye for detail, be comfortable learning new systems and be confident in delivering training and support to both individuals and groups, but most importantly you'll need a positive attitude and determination to improving our Contracts Register. You'll also need utilise your exceptional organisational and time management skills to manage your varied workload.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Provide customer support and systems guidance around the Contract Register to customers and stakeholders at all levels

- Respond to all queries around the Contract Register

- Deliver one-to-one and group training to staff as required

- Create, run and disseminate reports as per the needs of the organisation

- Continuous and proactive monitoring of data with a view to improving the management information provided

- Demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people’s behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs.

- Ensure that reasonable care is taken at all times for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and other persons, and to comply with the policies and procedures relating to health and safety within the department.

- Carry out any other duties which fall within the broad spirit, scope and purpose of this job description and which are commensurate with the grade of the post as per the needs of the wider team.

If successful you will be well supported but will need to be comfortable being the main point of customer contact for our Contracts Register.
